Yeshop by Yiorgos Eleftheriades and dARCH studio
This beautifully sculpted cardboard mille-feuille lines the walls of Yiorgos Eleftheriades‘ Yeshop in Athens. Dubbed “Papercut”, the project was a collaboration between the fashion designer and dARCH Studio. It takes a multidisciplinary approach to interior design, synthesizing elements of fashion and architecture into a streamlined, self-illuminated, biomorphic installation that was handmade using all eco-friendly materials.

In terms of space planning exhibition areas, offices, waiting lounge and the café are designed in harmony to provide a unique sense of design to this sales office that is constructed on a total area of 1200 m2. The elevated ceiling height allows the use of enclosed sitting areas within the space, giving the feel of a decreased volume to the space. In order to reduce the massive dimension of such areas and to prolong the transparency of the space, organic shaped openings are located on the face of the walls of the sitting areas.
